Argentine Tango
Born in the suburbs of Buenos Aries, the Tango is characterized by its passionate hold and complex leg and foot movements. No other dance connects two people more closely than the Argentine Tango.
Ballroom (Social Dance)
Level 1
This program, for the absolute beginner, teaches the Jive, Waltz, Foxtrot, and Cha-Cha. Upon completion, students will have an enhanced understanding of Social Dance and will be able to paricipate at any dance function with confidence.
Level 2
This level reviews and builds upon Level 1. Additional dances taught are Samba and Swing.
Level 3
This course will review and build upon Levels 1 and 2, with the addition of the Quickstep.
Level 4
This course will complete a broad base of elementary movements in Social Dance. All dances are reviewed and new variations added with the addition of the Rumba.
Pre-Bronze, Bronze, Silver, Gold, GoldStar, Supreme Award
For the keen dancer who wishes to learn advanced variations while continuing to develop skill, technique and style. Additional dances are taught as the levels advance.
Jive
Characterized by uptempo music danced with triple steps done primarily on the toes with very lively movement.
"Ladies Only" Latin
Latin dancing provides a great cardiovascular workout while teaching stamina and coordination - a fun way to work out with friends. No partner necessary.
Latin American
Learn to Salsa, Rumba, Merengue, Mambo, Cha-Cha-Cha, Samba, and more
Salsa
The Salsa dance has many roots in Hispanic Salsa music. It incorporates multiple styles and variations, but typically refers to a particular style developed in the 1960s and '70s by Cuban and Puerto Rican immigrants to the New York City area.

Stretch and Strength
An overall body conditioning workout using slow stretch exercises to enhance muscle tone and improve both mental and physical health.
Waltz
The Waltz is considered the backbone of ballroom dance. It has an easy-to-learn box step pattern and rhythm which makes it the perfect first dance for beginners.
Ballet
Structured classes focusing on technique, style, strength and fluidity of movement while promoting poise and finesse. Classes begin at the barre where various exercises and movements are mastered and then taken to the centre where posture and co-ordination are strengthened.
Tap
Tap dancing helps improve co-ordination, concentration and musicality. It's an excellent cardiovascular workout and a fun way to stay in shape. Classes range from beginner to experienced.
Studio workshops
Monthy workshops focus on a particular dance style, technique or figure.
Cost: $15 per workshop
Pre-registration required.
Friday night practice sessions
Friday evenings, starting September 11, the Studio is available to practice your dance steps. It's great way to meet new friends and have fun!
Cost: $3 per person
Time:8-11p.m.
